(Ctrl+H) A single hash before a sentence sets the text to an H1, or Heading 1, HTML element.

(Ctrl+HH) Two hashes before a sentence sets the text as an H2, or Heading 2, HTML element.

(Ctrl+HHH) Three hashes before a sentence creates an H3, or Heading 3, HTML element.

(Ctrl+HHHH) Four hashes create an h3, or Heading 4, element.

(Ctrl+HHHHH) Five hashes create an H5, or Heading 5, element.
(Ctrl+HHHHHH) Six hashes create an H6, or Heading 6, element.
  1. (Ctrl+Alt+L) The number ‘1’ and a full-stop followed by a space creates an OL, or Ordered List, HTML element.
  • , +, * (Ctrl+L) A star, hyphen (otherwise known as a dash) or plus sign followed by a space creates a UL, or Unordered List, HTML element. text (Ctrl+I) Inserting stars before and after a block of text will turn that text italic. text (Ctrl+B) Inserting two starts before and after a block of text will turn that text bold. code Inserting a Grave Accent before and after a block of text will change it to Inline Code; this styles the text to appear in an unformatted style with a coloured background. code Inserting two Grave Accents before and after a block of text will change that text to Code; this is styled similarly to Inline Code, but maintains formatting such as line breaks for larger code blocks. 'READMORE' surrounded by three hyphens on either side will create a Readmore point, which sets where any preview text should stop. Users will need to click on the Readmore to be taken to the main post to read the full content. > (Ctrl+Q) A 'greater than' sign followed by a space will create a Blockquote element; text entered after this element (but only on the same line) will be styled as larger quote text. [title](link URL) (Ctrl+K) Creates a link; the text in the Title section will define the text of the link, while the URL in the Link URL section will define the target the link should direct the browser to. ~~text~~ (Ctrl+U) Inserting two Tildes before and after a piece of text will change it to Strikethrough text.
