Cabinet
We needed a cabinet. Rescue 911 to the, um, rescue.
So we needed a cabinet. Lots of research showed I could build one easily enough, except I didn’t want to build one. Building wooden things is something I can do, not something I enjoy. Repairing a set of French doors and frames was good demonstration of just how much I don’t enjoy woodwork :-) Even the idea of using a metal frame didn’t overcome the horror.
So after I found a machine to use for parts, I knew I needed a cabinet (the parts machine only had one piece of wood I couldn’t push my finger through). I remembered seeing a post in gumtree for something nearby, and to my surprise it was just down the road. A local operator (retired) had leftovers from combining multiple busted machines into fewer working machines. Luckily for me he had a decent cabinet. Unluckily for me, he knew what it was worth. A bit of haggling later and it’s delivered it to my door.
A little TLC is needed, it’s missing the odd bracket, door, vents, siderails, lockdown bar etc., but perfectly serviceable.
It Arrives
Look at that artwork!
Setup With Some Nice Marine Ply
It looks a lot better with some ply installed and an apron from my boxes of parts.
I can’t help but feel a virtual pinball build would be less painful from here…
